Where is all started

If there is one thing on my dads side of the family that will always truly be valued it is baseball and the yankees. As long as I can remember my father his father and his brothers have endlessly argued and talked about the yankees and the game of baseball I have always been some what girly so I never really cared to listen when I was younger. I played softball in our towns rec league mostly because all my friends did and hey I was pretty good so every year I kept playing. I began to like it a little better I liked being the pitcher I could handle the pressure and who doesn't like success. In 2003 my views changed in one night. I had been watching the yankee vs red sox ALCS series here and there because it was always on in the house I got a little into it. Good news for my dad and brother they got tickets to go to the game 7 winner goes to the world series game! So of course that night my mom and I watched. The game was amazing the yankees won in extra inning on an Aaron Boone home run. I loved it from that night on I found my love it was baseball and of course the yankees. That winter I was with my dad non stop working my butt off to improve to make the travel team.  From that year on the baseball passion was shared between my father and I in the process we formed many more links that will last forever.

Role Model

I think that my father and I biggest link has been softball ever since I can remember we have spent endless hours pitching. During that time I have realized so much about my dad and I have also admired his strong qualities. My father is extremely strong willed I think that is what I admire the most about him and hope I take after him in that way. Even though I had been treated unfairly in the softball world he never gave up that I could be successful and more importunely I never gave up because of the qualities that I molded myself to have after him. My dads personality traits lead my to be a all-star this past season.
